Why haven't I done this before?

WHY have I not done this before? Your first blog leaves one feeling slightly apprehensive

and what shall I write about? Hundreds of topics to cover

  1. jewellery design
  2. jewellery mess ups
  3. motherhood
  4. homeschooling
  5. the joys of owning a small business
  6. art and painting
  7. rock climbing experiences
  8. what inspires me?
  9. what do I do in my free time?
  10. how do I keep fit?

you choose - you vote - send in your requests after all we all have some experience to share on any given topic

The one thing I can say about design is don't be scared and don't compare - my husband always says if you are brave enough to make it, someone will be brave enough to wear it. I have had things sit in my studio for a while, then someone will come by and absolutely fall in love with it, or I'll get new inspiration and add to a piece or combine it with another piece to make something totally extravagant.

Favourite things

One of my favourite things to do is upcycling and remodeling old used jewellery, I really need to photograph some and put them on my website but t another day's job, not today - today is weekend playtime!

What is necessary to me in my studio - the absolute musts ...

  1. Light - a LOT of LIGHT, natural and electrical ( in Zimbabwe its often solar)
  2. Music or podcasts
  3. Water or coffee and sometimes iced tea
  4. Some kind of order, not always to everyone else's standard or understanding but I have my own order

IF you are considering jewellery or art - or selling what you already make, then jump in and do it what are you waiting for?

Choose what you are good at and make it happen, there is so much information out there - use google, U tube, anything you ever wondered is at the touch of a button, you just need to learn how to use it and if you're Z-Gen then you already know how so put on your brave and put yourself out there.

Time is ticking, people regret most what they didn't do rather than what they did do...

Start small, it's ok to start small and grow your creations, little by little it happens as you are consistent and diligent and people can tell when what you are doing is done with passion.

It's weekend time

It's weekend time now so I am guessing you are just chilling, enjoy the read and the website - feel free to ask any questions, I'll answer what I can. You've tapped in thank you, as for me I'm tapping out to cook dinner and have family time.

What am I cooking? Roast chicken and cauliflower, with lots of homemade chili sauce - yes we grow our own chilies, and whatever else we can. Fortunately, we live in one of the best weather zones in Africa and it's easy to grow our own produce.

drop me a like on IG and follow - subscribe to the newsletter and let me know what you wanna hear about - all honest, all real, and what a joy to share.

Signing out till next time
